Moreish is built so that what you eat stays yours. The whole app works without an account, and that is the default. If you choose to sign in, what you have saved travels between your own devices and nowhere else. This policy describes exactly what leaves your phone, what does not, and why.
Moreish is developed and published by Aditya Dev Singh, an individual developer. Questions about this policy or your data: aditya3dev@gmail.com.
Every feature of Moreish works signed out. Nothing is locked behind signing in, and you are never asked to create an account to continue.
An account exists for exactly one reason: so that the food you have saved survives a reinstall and appears on your other phone. If you want that, you sign in with Apple or Google.
Moreish never sees or stores a password. Apple or Google confirms who you are and hands us a stable identifier for you. If you allow it, we also receive an email address — Apple lets you hide yours behind a private relay address, and that works perfectly well here. That identifier and, where given, that address are the only personal details we hold about you. We never ask for your real name, your phone number, your age, or anything about your body.
All of the following is written to a database on your phone:
Signed out, none of it is ever copied to us. Your phone is the only place it exists.
Signed in, a copy is kept in your account so a new phone can restore it. That copy is stored exactly as you wrote it, is never read to build a profile of you, is never sold, shared, or used for advertising, and is never used to train anything. Our servers store these entries without interpreting them: we keep no record of which foods any account has saved, and nothing in our system is organised by food.
Meal photos never sync. A photo stays on the phone that took it. A combo restored on a new device keeps its words and loses its picture.
Deleting the app deletes the copy on that device, and you can erase it at any time from You → Privacy → Delete everything. If you are signed in, deleting your account from You → Your account → Delete your account permanently deletes the synced copy as well.
| What | Why | Kept? |
|---|---|---|
| A meal photo, a voice note, or typed text | Sent once to our gateway, which asks Google Gemini what food is present and returns only food names | No. It is read once and discarded. It is never written to storage and never associated with you. |
| The words Mo says | Sent to ElevenLabs to be spoken aloud (Moreish Club) | The generated audio is cached so the same line is not re-billed. The cache holds Mo's speech, not anything about you. |
| A random device identifier | To apply fair-use limits so one device cannot exhaust the service | A counter, expiring automatically. It is not linked to your identity and cannot be traced back to you. |
Photos are not stored on any server. There is no image archive, and no human reviews your meals.
If enabled in the version you have installed, Moreish uses PostHog for anonymous product analytics and Sentry for crash diagnostics. Neither receives food data. The complete list of events we can send is:
app_openedonboarding_finished — completed or skippedcapture_started — which input was used (photo, voice, text, snack, menu)verdict_shown — the shape of the answercombo_crushed, combo_savedcard_shared — square or storypaywall_shown — what led therepurchase_finished — bought, cancelled or failed, and which plancheck_in_answeredThese describe behaviour only. By design, an event cannot carry a dish name, a photo, a quantity, or any free-form text — the app will not compile if it tries to. Sentry receives technical crash information such as the device model and a stack trace.
Moreish Club subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. Purchases are tied to an anonymous identifier, not to you. We never see or handle your payment card, your Apple ID, or your billing address. Apple's own privacy policy governs the transaction.
Moreish contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party tracking for advertising purposes. We do not sell or share personal information.
Moreish is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Signed out, there is no server-side copy of your content at all: erasing it in the app, or deleting the app, erases it completely.
Signed in, you can do all of the following from inside the app, without asking us and without waiting:
If you would prefer us to do it, or want to ask anything about data we hold, write to aditya3dev@gmail.com and we will action it.
Moreish is a general wellness and food-inspiration app. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not track calories, weight or any nutritional measurement.
